CYS Young Artist Competition 2025

Auditions for instrumental soloists to appear during the 2025-2026 Season with the California Youth Symphony (CYS) Senior Orchestra will be held between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm at the Cha Chi Ming Recital Hall at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music on Saturday, March 29, 2025. 

     Preliminaries (9:00 am-1:30 pm)
     Finals (3:00 pm - 5:00 pm)
       Please plan to block the day for the audition.

IMPORTANT: Fees are non-refundable. Before submitting your application, please pay careful attention to the YAC rules and guidelines for acceptable/non-acceptable concerti. Most importantly, contestants are expected to have a COMPLETE approved concerto or concert work (ALL movements, if applicable) ready to perform from memory. 

A non-refundable fee of $90 must accompany your application submission to complete your registration.

Musicians wishing to compete in this audition should complete the application form below by 11:59 pm PST on March 1, 2025. Your schedule will be emailed to you one week before the competition date.
