Register for a Climb AT THE STUDENT'S SCHOOL Afterschool Debate Program

We are glad you want to join!

These are programs designed specifically to help students engage in speech and debate and to do so with excellence. Students learn critical thinking, important issues affecting our lives, note taking, group work, and argumentation skills. Many of our students have gone on to win awards at the Seattle University tournaments.

If you, the person registering, are under 18, you must be supervised by a parent/guardian while registering.

Student Information

Please use the name the student will use in the program. THE STUDENT'S FIRST NAME THAT THEY USE REGULARLY is particularly important for security, setting up teams, and assuring we compile results accurately.

REFUND POLICY FOR THE AT SCHOOLS PROGRAMS

If you drop 7 or more days before the start of the program, you will receive 95% refund.

If you drop before class day 2 starts, you will receive 70% refund.

If you drop before class day 3 starts, you will receive 50% refund.

After the third class day begins, there are no refunds.

We do NOT refund for missing a class, for being late to a class, nor for missing a tournament that is part of the program, nor for dropping the class after day 3 starts.

Students can makeup missed classes by viewing our program's PowerPoints (arrange with Jim Hanson).

The refund policy is based on the fact that registration processing takes our time and once we hire a staff member--we have to pay them for the entire program even when students drop and it is disruptive to teams and labs who have to be reconfigured.

Contact Information

BELOW WE NEED AT LEAST ONE EMAIL ADDRESS to contact you with important information about our programs such as assignments, forms parents need to fill out, etc.

We strongly prefer a student and at least one parent email address. If you wish to provide just a parent email address--BE SURE TO FORWARD THE EMAILS WE SEND to your student ASAP so they don't miss out on key opportunities such as preparation for debates, partner requests, tournament registration, etc.

PLEASE DO NOT REPEAT AN EMAIL ADDRESS or you will get duplicate emails from us. : )
I am okay with Climb sharing my student/primary email address with their debate partners so they can be in contact with each other to prepare for debating. *
