Jump on It! Coaches Education Track

The Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and U.S. Figure Skating are partnering to bring you the Coaches Education Track of "Jump on It!: An Athlete Development Camp for the Technical Elements Score"



May 9-11, 2019

Colorado Springs, Colo.


THURSDAY, May 9th (approximately 9:00am - 6:00pm)

Coaches Education Track, presented by PSA:

- On-ice classes on jump theory with each of the faculty members

- Panel discussions with faculty members

- Coaches welcome


FRIDAY, May 10th (approximately 8:00am - 5:00pm)

- Observation of athlete classes

- Panel discussions with faculty members

- Lecture classes:  Sports Science, IJS jump calls, GOEs*


SATURDAY, May 11th (approximately 8:00am - 5:00pm)

- Observation of athlete classes

- Panel discussions with faculty members (continued)

- Lecture classes: Technology in Coaching, Sports Science*

* Exact topics for lecture classes TBD, but will focus on sports science, technology, IJS, etc.


Registration fee: $349 per coach.

Deadline: Monday, April 15


All registrations are considered final. However, refunds, minus a $100 processing fee, will be allowed for coaches who withdrawal prior to May 1, 2019.  There will be no refunds for no-shows, or coaches who withdrawal the week of camp. 



All athletes are highly encouraged to attend with a coach. The curriculum is focused on athletes at that are at a minimum competing at the juvenile level in Regional / Sectional / U.S. Championships, and consistently perform double and triple jumps.


However, coaches of ALL levels, who are members of PSA, are welcome to attend. There are no restrictions on coaching level. 


If a coach does bring athletes, effort will be made to place their students in the same group (assuming that they are comparable age and skill level), so the coach will be able to observe them as much as possible.  Free time will be allotted in the Coaches Education schedule for coaches to observe their students' classes on Friday and Saturday.
