U.S. Hall of Fame Class of 2022 nominations open

Nominations are being accepted for the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame Class of 2022. Members of U.S. Figure Skating and the public may submit a nomination from the categories below.

The deadline to submit a nomination is 11:59 p.m. ET, Sept. 29, 2021. 

The U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame was established in 1976 to honor those who have made outstanding contributions to the sport of figure skating. Nominees may be emeritus, deceased or actively working. In Pairs and Dance, only couples may be nominated.

A: Outstanding Athlete

  • Retired from eligible skating for at least five seasons
  • Has a record of National, World or Olympic achievements
  • May have made a special contribution in style and/or technique 

B: Outstanding Coach/Professional (Includes choreographers)

  • Current or retired
  • U.S. or foreign-born 
  • Must have minimum 25 years professional work

C: Outstanding Contributor (Includes administrators, officials or others in a supporting role) 

  • Current or retired
  • U.S. or foreign-born

The Nominating Committee will review all nominations to ensure candidates meet the selection criteria before setting forth the official ballot. U.S. Hall of Fame members and invited electors will cast their votes. New members will be elected based on the approved voting criteria.
