READY TO APPLY?
In order to apply with OM USA, you must be 18 years old at the time of your departure to the field and a US citizen or legally able to work in the US. Before you apply, ask yourself these questions:
DO I AGREE WITH OM'S STATEMENT OF FAITH?
OM's Statement of Faith (also called Doctrinal Statement) and Mission Statement may be found here. It is vital that each person who serves with OM shares in these core beliefs about God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), the Scriptures, sin, salvation through Jesus Christ, the church, and Christ's return.
AM I READY TO ACCEPT GOD’S CALLING TO SERVE OTHERS?
Participating regularly in a church or with a body of believers for the purpose of fellowship, worship and biblical teaching is vital in helping you hear God’s calling clearly and begin to follow faithfully.
DO I PARTICIPATE IN FELLOWSHIP IN A LOCAL CHURCH?
OM is an international, inter-denominational mission organization. Therefore, you will serve alongside people from many cultures. Being able to build and maintain a network of meaningful relationships with those of different doctrinal, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds is an important characteristic of successful applicants. In order to apply long-term you must have been actively involved in a local church for at least 6 months.
CAN OTHERS SEE CHRIST AT WORK IN MY LIFE?
One of OM’s core values is living in submission to God’s word. Therefore, applying biblical principles to your life, so that your actions and behaviors reflect these principles is important to your ministry. Applicants should have been a Christian, actively following Jesus, for at least one year before applying.
AM I READY TO TRUST GOD TO PROVIDE FOR ME FINANCIALLY?
OM missionaries depend on the Lord to provide for their prayer and financial needs through the involvement of individuals and churches. Therefore, you will be expected to build a team of prayer and financial partners for your time of service with OM.
If you have answered “yes” to these questions and are ready to begin our application process,
