GOTR-Nebraska Financial Aid Application

About Financial Aid

Financial aid is limited, and reduced tuition is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to those who complete the application for as long as funding is available. Proof of income is required. Applications without documentation won't be considered.

NOTE: Full financial aid that covers 100 percent of tuition or registration fees is rarely awarded; most participants pay part of the fee (at least half) to help GOTR-Nebraska serve as many girls as possible. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

By paying WHAT YOU CAN, you'll help ensure that all girls who wish to participate in Girls on the Run can join a team,  regardless of their family’s financial situation.

***Requests for reduced fees must occur prior to registering in the database. Financial aid CANNOT be granted AFTER registration. If you have already registered for the team and paid the fee at your site, we are unable to award a discount/grant a partial refund of fees.***

How to Apply for Financial Aid

1. Complete this online form and attachment by the deadline (Feb. 28 for the spring season; Aug. 15 for the fall season). Apply as early in the process as possible, because financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funding runs out.

2. Upload PDF or JPG of your most recent tax return with all sensitive information blacked out. Leave only your name, address, number of people in the household and gross reported income visible.

GOTR-Nebraska serves a large territory with a diverse population. To ensure all girls can participate regardless of their family’s income, we offer reduced tuition on a case-by-case basis to optimize available funding. We understand that a tax return doesn't tell the whole story, though, so factors in addition to gross reported income are considered when awarding financial aid. Please briefly explain your request for financial aid in the space below and share any special circumstances that might be relevant.
** Please Note: GOTR-Nebraska reserves the right to request additional documentary verfication of income, including, but not limited to mortgage statements, property tax assessments or bank statements.
