Every GOTR Girl Needs a Registered Run Buddy at 5K

Every GOTR girl on the course must be accompanied by a registered Run Buddy to encourage her every step of the way.

A Run Buddy is designated by the parents to run with and encourage their GOTR girl from start to finish on the 5K trail. It can be a parent, family friend or sibling (over the age of 18), a teacher at her school – anyone you think will be a positive-minded 5K partner on the course with her.

Being a Run Buddy at the GOTR 5K is a fun and gratifying experience. A Run Buddy has the following responsibilities:

  • Participate alongside your GOTR Girl in the culminating, celebratory 5K event and express support and enthusiasm for her accomplishment!
  • Encourage your GOTR Girl to do her personal best instead of focusing on competition with others.
  • Ensure your buddy’s safety by supervising her at the program site or along the 5K event course, including making sure she is wearing her race bib with emergency information listed.
  • Be aware of program site and 5K event safety protocols (first aid station/ambulance, lost child area, exits, etc.)

Sharing the 5K experience with a GOTR girl is an uplifting and unforgettable experience for both participants. It’s a great opportunity for a GOTR girl and her parent, mentor or friend to bond.

NOTE: GOTR girls are limited to ONE Run Buddy due to course considerations. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

GOTR Girl and Run Buddy Registration

A Run Buddy may accompany up to 2 girls on the course. Who will your register today?
 *
NOTE: Each GOTR girl is limited to one Run Buddy due to space on the course.

Runner Info

COACHES WITH DAUGHTERS ON TEAM
Enter your daughter's name(s) in the GOTR Girl fields. You will be her Run Buddy.

COACHES WITHOUT DAUGHTERS ON TEAM
Enter "NA" in all GOTR Girl fields if you don't have a daughter on the team, but leave your name in the Run Buddy fields. Also enter your own name and contact info in the "Parent/Guardian" fields.

Don't assign yourself to a GOTR girl at this time. We'd like coaches who don't have daughters on the team to be "free agents" on 5K day. You may have to step in when needed, e.g. if a GOTR girl shows up alone because her Run Buddy got sick.

Parking Is Limited -- One Car per 5K Entry Package

Parking at the venue is limited. Reserved lots are for registered GOTR girls only. One parking permit will be included with each 5K package entry.

A limited number of additional parking permits in the reserved GOTR lots are available for $30 each and must be purchased with this registration.
Do you want to buy an additional parking permit in a reserved GOTR parking lot for $30? *
