Terms and conditions
Prices for Rentals.
Prices quoted are in Pound Sterling and are for the weekly rental of the property. Prices include all
linen & towels, including pool towels.
Gas
(bottled gas for the cooker).
Electricity. Firewood
is available by the basket during winter months only.
To make a Booking.
To make a booking, complete in full the attached booking form, Completion of the booking form will constitute acceptence of our Terms & conditions and send them together with payment of the initial
non-refundable
deposit - (20%). Upon receipt of the booking form, and deposit a confirmation will be sent. Bookings made within 6 weeks of the start date of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking. We are no longer able to accept payment by cheque
Payment.
Payment of your rental is due not less than 6 weeks before the start date of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to give notice in writing that the booking is cancelled. And in the event that the property is not re-let, 50% of the final balance of the invoice will be payable.
Insurance.
You are strongly recommended to take out a comprehensive travel and health insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party's personal belongings, etc. since these are not covered by the proprietors' insurance. Should you wish to take part in any of the activities offered on site, horse riding, canoe hire, mountain bike hire, you must ensure your travel insurance covers you for these acctivities.
Start Days.
Arrival and departure days are
flexible
. Please advise if you are unable to arrive before 10.00p.m so that alternative arrangements can be made to welcome you.
Swimming pool.
The swimming pool and surrounding area is for the sole use of guests. Bombing and diving is NOT ALLOWED. Any such sustained activity will lead to the pool being shut down. Children must be supervised at all times in or around the pool.
Maximum Occupancy.
Maximum occupancy for the property is 6 + 1 baby and must not be exceeded unless by prior arrangement. All persons staying in the property must be named on the booking form at the time of the booking. It is not permitted to park caravans or pitch tents in the grounds unless by prior arrangement with the owners.
Visitors.
Visitors are permitted and welcomed.
Animals.
Animals are permitted but must be kept under control as we do have horses on site.
Cleaning Standards.
The property will be cleaned in readiness to welcome you on your arrival and you are asked to leave the property and it's contents as you find them. It is essential that you leave the property clean on your departure.
Property Care.
We reserve the right to enter the property at a reasonable time to carry out any necessary maintenance, gardening etc. Guests are requested not to touch or interfere with pool equipment and materials, or allow any misuse of the pool, the surrounding area or main property which might result in damage. In any such case immediate relevant action will be taken by the proprietors, including termination of the letting, to remedy the situation and to charge full costs for replacement and repairs resulting from any misuse or abuse of the property.
The Proprietor shall
not
be liable for
:
-
any accident of a third party which occurs as a direct result of insufficient adult supervision when using the swimming pool or river.
-
any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property.
-
for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, force majeure, strike, riot, war or other matters beyond our control.
-
for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the guest if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the proprietor shall, within 7 days of notification to you, refund all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period. Under no circumstances shall the proprietors' liability to you exceed the amount paid to us for the rental period.
Contract.
This contract is subject to English law in every particular and shall be deemed to have been made in England. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in England.
